December 08, 2004 "its over and done...but the heartache lives on inside..."

nope..im not moping because i got my heart broken again...well, it was but that's another story...the heartache came from another person....my karma no. 2

the defense for our thesis is over and done with..we've passed the necessary revisions...i should be happy right...no more sleepless nights....no more 6 cups of coffee a night (im back to a cup or two a day..thank you very much..)

but what transpired during that 1hour plus defense wouldnt seem to leave my mind...

remember when i said that one of our panel was ms Zamora...well..she pretty much crushed us...the comp rep was somewhat our friend...so she told us what happened when we were outside.

since we couldnt get a grade higher than 89, 89 in effect would be equivalent to 4.0 or 100 to us..

she gave us an 87

the other panel, sir esguerra, gave an 86

Ms zamora..talked them out of it. she was to give us i think a 79 or something...but that would still give us an average of 84

but lo and behold..she gave us an 81...

sure that translate to around 92..but still!! we shouldve gotten a higher grade...

although she had a point about the first part of our paper, the one she really really pointed out to us, and even got mad about was the fee for the food stylist...which was really not that important, some didnt even make a breakdown of the production cost, we did. since we came from a production house, we thought we owe it to them. i made that part. i asked around for the real if not the ave rate for different prod'n peeps..for the food stylist, i got Sir Eugene's rate, our food stylist for project ligaw (Choco Graham)

i know i shouldve asked if there was an agency or client reco for food stylist..but i showed my prod'n breakdown to the accts exec of JWT, she said it was fine...and besides...did she really have to get THAT MAD just becasue she was friends with that food stylist,, or was she just mad because we answered almost every question they threw at us without breaking a sweat (except maybe the industry analysis stuff [we werent granted an interview witht he client and our product was introduced just last august so there's really a few info] and the very last question ms zamora asked, which without a doubt was true..)

is it wrong for me to think that they were unfair...

this also goes to the other two panelist...i mean..they gave us 87 and 86 already...why budge?? just because ms zamora said so...

aint that a bit unfair....

i guess this would count as KARMA NO. 4??? =(

6. shoes, any kind with heels not higher than 2" (im 7 1/2)

9. flat screen TV, hehe.
10. a year supply of booze (if beer, RH lang pls)
11. Art materials (any medium, from crayons and coloring books to canvass and acrylics)
12. Drumset or Kahon. (wlang pilosopo)
13. Oven. i want to bake.
14. punching bag and gloves
15. a leather basketball.


Of course, Money is always the best. that way you know i will get what i really want.

And look at it this way, if you give me any of my top 5, i can consider that as an early bday gift as well. hehe :)
